PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can restrain unexpected emission of satellite ink drops.;SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises a set of side walls 180 with a chamber 170 defined therebetween and a print head converter having a groove with ink arranged therein. The converter can generate a first pressure wave to the ink to emit intentional ink drops. A waveform generator is connected to the converter to supply a voltage waveform to the converter. In consequence, the converter generates the pressure wave to the ink to emit ink drops. For avoiding generation of unintentional satellite ink drops, a sensor 320 is fluidly connected to the ink to detect reflecting components.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
