PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain molded articles of heat resistant polyvinyl chloride having specific heat resistance and surface roughness, excellent smoothness and favorable appearance. ;SOLUTION: This molded articles are obtained having heat resistance ≥125°C, surface roughness ≤4.0 μm and decomposition time ≥30 min in 200°C oven. The article is obtained by molding a heat resistant vinyl chloride based resin. Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride based resin(CPVC) obtained by chlorinating a vinyl chloride based resin(PVC) or the like are cited as the heat resistant vinyl chloride based resin. The BET specific surface area of the PVC before chlorination for CPVC is 1.5-5 m2/g, the peak ratio of the 1S bonding energy of the carbon atom and the chlorine atom by a particle surface analysis by ESCA is preferably ≥0.7.
