PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent foreign matter from being discharged into a drainage ditch and easily perform maintenance work for filter means without dangers. ;SOLUTION: A downspout 21 for guiding rainwater falling on the roof 11 of a building 10 to the ground 12 is provided with a filter 24 in a position below the top thereof, the filter 24 having removable filter means for removing foreign matter in the rainwater flowing down the downspout 12. Since the filter is provided below the top of the downspout, the height position of the filter means is not high from the ground. Therefore, even if a stepladder or ladder is used for the maintenance work of the filter means, the maintenance work of the filter means can be performed easily without dangers since it is performed at a height position that is not high from the ground.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
