PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-cooled type cooled probe for exhaust gas sampling, excellent in handling property, operatability and cooling performance by using air as a cooling medium.;SOLUTION: This probe is composed of a sampling probe 3 for sampling exhaust gas G, and an air-cooled probe body 4 fitted on the outside of a straight tube part 3a of the sampling probe 3, for cooling the sampling probe 3 by cooling air A. The air-cooled probe body 4 is equipped with an inner tube 4b for covering the straight tube part 3a of the sampling probe 3 and for forming a cooling passage 4a, where the cooling air A is passed, between it and the straight tube part 3a, an outer tube 4d arranged around the inner tube 4b, for forming a cooling jacket 4c between it and the inner tube 4b, a communicating opening 4f formed on the inner tube 4b, for communicating the cooling passage 4a to the cooling jacket 4c, and a cooling air outlet 4g for communicating to the cooling jacket 4c, and is composed so that the cooling air A will be passed through the cooling passage 4a, the communicating opening 4f and the cooling jacket 4c sequentially, and discharged from the cooling air outlet 4g.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
