PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aligning bearing device and a main oil pump for a steam turbine with the aligning bearing device for restraining load to be applied to a rotary shaft before aligning. ;SOLUTION: In an aligning bearing device, a bearing support 3 having a bearing for supporting a front part shaft and a main oil pump casing 7 for holding the bearing support 3 are provided, a bearing support side contact surface 35 is formed on the bearing support 3, a supporting wall side contact surface 71 is formed on a main oil pump supporting wall 7, a spring 16 for pressing the bearing support side contact surface 35 to the supporting wall side contact surface 71 by constant force is provided, the bearing support 3 is held on the main pump casing 7 by frictional force between the bearing support side contact surface 35 and the supporting wall side contact surface 71, and the bearing support 3 is moved in relation to the main oil pump casing 7 along the contact surface and aligned when force higher than frictional force is applied to the bearing. A hydraulic operating part 10 and an oil pressure supplying source of the hydraulic operating part 10 are provided between the bearing support side contact surface 35 and the supporting wall side contact surface 71, frictional force between both contact surfaces is reduced by pressure oil of the hydraulic operating part 10, and alignment is performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
