PURPOSE: To obtain various profits based on saving of processes by cold-rolling a stainless steel strip in which at least a descaling operation of annealing and descaling operations is completed not only at a stroke but also stably effecting a series of multifunctioned continuous annealing and descaling and rolling equipments in order that an annealing and descaling equipment and a cold rolling equipment which are arranged essentially in respective independent stages are integrated into one body to save stages. ;CONSTITUTION: As a cold rolling equipment mainly following a continuous annealing equipment and a descaling equipment of a continuously passing stainless steel strip and arranged in a series of equipments, plural multiroll cold mills 16 are arranged between a cold rolling mill 11 which can be changed to a two high cold rolling mill and a four high cold rolling mill on the upstream side and a two high cold rolling mill or a pinch roll device 17 on the downstream side.
