CATIONIC SURFACTANT AS ANTIFOULING AGENT FOR INDUCED DRAFT FAN(IDF)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic surfactant in the form of one or more quaternary ammonium salts, method for producing a composition containing one or more of these quaternary ammonium salts, and use of the surfactant as an antifouling agent for an induced draft fan which discharges combustion gases from a steel-making plant. ;SOLUTION: This composition contains at least one type of quaternary ammonium salt having at least one type of radical selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkylallyl and etherocycle, the radical having an 8-18C alkyl chain and being bound to a nitrogen atom. The composition generally contains the surfactant at 15 to 60 wt.%, based on the whole composition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
