PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create the habitat of organisms by providing a net frame having a U-shaped frame-like plane shape on a concrete block forming a retaining wall face on the surface and provided with a communication hole. ;SOLUTION: This ecological conservation block 1 is constituted of a concrete block 2 forming a retaining wall face with the surface and a net frame 3 provided on the back face of the concrete block 2 and having a U-shaped frame-like plane shape, and a communication hole penetrating the concrete block 2 from the surface side to the back side is provided. The concrete blocks 2 are stacked in the horizontal direction and upward to form a retaining wall, tiles and pebbles are packed in the net frame 3 on the back side of the concrete blocks 2, spaces are communicated between the surface side of the retaining wall and the tiles and pebbles on the back side by the communication holes provided on the concrete blocks 2, and the continuity between the inside of the net frame 3 and the natural ground on the outside is secured, thereby the living field of organisms such as trees, plants and insects can be provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
