By the method polluted waters, including such from uraniumand other types of waste heaps are treated without the expenditureof any reagents or biocomponents. The water pollutants remain inthe area of the slurry pond, the mine and the spoil heap wherethey can easily be buried and conserved without polluting otherregions. This avoids building of water treatment plants and theadditional burying of their wastes. By the method at least onewater impermeable basin is built downstream or in the area of theproject to be conserved, having the volume and overall dimensionsallowing the collection of waste waters discharged from theproject to be conserved and subject to treatment, for a selectedperiod of time after which the waters from the project forconservation are discharged into the water impermeable basin. Thewaters remain there subject to the effect of the natural weatherconditions for evaporation and/or conditioning, and/or aerationtreatment. After the end of the purification all pollutants remainin the water impermeable basin where they are buried. The area isconserved and reclaimed as is the remaining part of the slurrypond, mine and/or spoil heaps.2 claims
