The device can be used in internal combustion engines, compressors and other piston machines. It includes inlet and outlet intake (1) and discharge (1') plates mounted in the cylinder head (8) connecting the combustion chamber (9) and the intake (4) and discharge (4') duct. Plates (1 & 1') are mounted on a stem (6 & 6') on which a reversible spring (7 & 7') is fitted having fixing components (10 & 10').
