WATER TREATMENT PROCESS BASED ON FENTON REACTION

摘要

The invented water treatment process based on Fenton s reaction is characterized by adding to water, having pH value adjusted within the range of 2.0 to 4.0, 0.05 percent by weight to 0.40 percent by weight of FeSOi4.7 Hi2O and 0.03 percent by weight to 0.45 percent by weight of Hi2Oi2, agitating the obtained mixture for a period of 60 to 90 minutes at a temperature ranging from 10 degC to 30 degC with subsequent stabilization thereof for a period of 10 to 30 minutes. Subsequently the stabilized mixture is subjected to neutralization to pH = 7.0 to 8.0 and under rigorous agitation there are further added a flocculant based on polyacrylamide copolymers and/or coagulants in an amount ranging from 0.01 to 1,5 percent by weight. Then the mixture is let to settle for a period of 0.5 to 3 hours in order to separate treated water from sediment.
