System for maintaining the dry condition of cold rolled strip having a screen (1, 2) whose upper part (1) forms a barrier above the strip path (100 as far as the frame platform and whose lower part (2) forms a barrier below the strip path as far as the base plate. Movable sections (20 21) facilitate the change-over of the rollers. A blower (3) diverts the squeezed out rolling medium from the finished rolling strip (30) with a seal (4) to close the gap (11) against the strip and a bower (5) to give a flow of air for the roller gap (12).
