A process for preparing orally absorbable spheroids containing an active ingredient of plant origin, characterized in that a liquid extract is prepared, by aqueous, alcoholic or water-alcohol mixed extraction, from one or more base materials of plant origin; the liquid extract is used to moisten a polymer-type substance or mixture of these substances; the resulting mass is granulated by humidification; this moist mass is extruded through a micro-die at a temperature lower than 30!C to obtain filament-type extrudates; the extrudates thus obtained are spheronised; the spheroids thus obtained are dried at a temperature lower than 40!C, and the dry spheroids are calibrated.
