The two sheets of corrugated cardboard (1, 2) are glued to each other at right angles at their centers (3). The ends (8, 9) of the inner sheet (2) are folded inward (6) and then upward (7). The book is placed between the upstanding inner flaps (8, 9), which are then folded over the book. The outer flaps (10, 11) are then folded over and secured by self adhesive strips (12) to seal the package.
