The incoming objects (6) are fed to the machine by the input conveyor (3). From the end of the input conveyor the objects fall onto the intermediate conveyor (4). Above the intermediate conveyor is an assembly of flow breakers (5). The flow breakers have wave-shaped profile belts (16) which channel the objects into regularly spaced rows. Transverse conveyor belts (8) sample the rows and carry the samples to recesses (13) on the output conveyor (12).
