The withdrawal tool is for a street manhole cover mounting ring (16) and involves a rigid ring adjoining the cover mounting ring on the outside and resting on a ground support (1) which in its middle in the ring centre line supports a vertically acting jack (8). The jack supports at its upper end a horizontal yoke (2) in its centre and at its free ends supports suspended withdrawal arms (11) with outwardly directed hooks (12). A unit (13) is provided by means of which the arms are held with the hooks gripping under the street manhole cover ring flange part (17).
