The two-phase helico-radial-axial impulsor for compression or expansion has one or more blades (25) mounted on a hub, and a cover (24) mounted outside the blades, with the assembly in a casing (20). The radius of curvature over at least part of the length (Lt) is designed to limit phase separation inside the flow channel. An Independent claim is also included for a compression or expansion device for a multi-phase fluid comprising a casing, one or more compression cells with their impulsors mounted on a rotating shaft, and an inlet and an outlet, where one or more of the compression cells contains an impulsor as above.
