Paracetamol based stable liquid formulations in an aqueous solvent, wherein the aqueous solvent is a mixture containing water and a polyhydric compound selected from an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol with 2-10 carbon atoms, or a water soluble alcanol and a buffering agent and the formulations further comprising at least one free radical antagonist or one free radical scavenger selected from ascorbic acid derivatives, organic compounds bearing at least one thiol functional group and polyhydric compounds. This compound may further comprise isotonizing agent, an analgesic, an anti-inflammatory, antiemetic, antiepileptic, corticosteroid, and tricyclic antidepressant.
