The present invention concerns a new use of glyphosate or derivatives thereof e.g. monoisopropylammonium, ammonium or sodium salts or mixtures thereof, for the increase of yield and/or quality of crop plants that contain a glyphosate oxidoreductase enzyme gene, so making said crops tolerant to glyphosate. Said crop plants selected from sugar beet, fodder beet, corn, oilseed rape and cotton. The glyphosate is used in formulation with an adjuvant, preferably an amine, amine oxide, quaternary ammonium salts, alkylpolyglycoside, alkylglycoside, glucose-esters and sucrose-esters.
