Microemulsion cleaning compositions comprising a mixture of fully and partially esterified ethoxylated polyhydric alcohol and a non-esterified ethoxylated polyhydric alcohol

A cleaning microemulsion composition that is effective in the removal of oily and greasy soil and having an evidenced grease release effect. The composition contains: a) 0.1 wt. % to 20 wt. % of a mixture of Formula I and Formula II, wherein, w is one to four, B is selected from hydrogen and a group represented by C(O)-R (wherein R is C6-22alkyl, C6-22alkenyl); b) 1 % to 20 % of an anionic detergent; c) 0.25 wt. % to 8 wt. % of an aldehyde with the Formula III, wherein n is 2 to 6; d) 0.1 to 50 % of a water soluble glycol ether or a C3-C6 aliphatic mono- or di-carboxylic acid co-surfactant; e) 0.1 wt. % to 10 wt. % of a water insoluble hydrocarbon or a perfume; and f) the balance being water.
