Process of production of insoluble sulphur or soluble sulphur and insoluble sulphur mixture and/or their mixtures with hydrocarbon oils with using the oxidation-reduction reactions of low-molecular sulphur compounds (H2S, COS, RSH), by partial incineration and acid-catalysed reduction of sulphur dioxide by hydrosulphide to elementary to cyclooctameric soluble sulphur in Claus or Novel-Claus process, is realised so that either immediately with the stage of partial incineration of low-molecular compounds of sulphur or mixtures thereof with organic compounds the reaction gas is lead after cooling to +50 up to -10 °C with mol. ratio SO2 : H2S = 1 : 2 to 2,5 into the acid aqueous or aqueous-alcohol medium in the presence of present additives, whilst the mostly insoluble polymeric sulphur is removed, ground and reformed with oil and/or other soluble and/or polymeric sulphur. Or the molten sulphur from the Claus process is kept during at least 3 min. under the 200 to 300 °C with extracting continuous cooling and after adding the stabiliser is quenched by leading on the cooled surface or into the aqueous and/or colloidal solution, kept under -10 to +40 °C. When the residuals of the solution and additives are removed the soluble sulphur is processed by grinding and/or is selectively extracted with subsequent drying, diluent regeneration and it is processed by the said process.
