Within the framework of this invention, we produced bio-ceramic materials for use in orthopaedics field, by using as initial materials calcium hydroxyapatite (HA) and tri-calcium phosphate (TCP), which are the two most important inorganic phase of artificial bone and bone prosthesis applications. The produced bio-ceramic materials that contain both phases have a porosity that varies between 70% and 95% and the open pore diameters thereof can be modified within the range of 100 and 400 microns. The production process and parameters of these implant materials with a pore structure very similar to human bones are described.
