Humid air is collected in a device (1) comprising a hood (5) that can be partly lowered into a water vessel (4), the hood being provided with means (6) for controlling the pressure and flow of air into a condensation device (2). The flow of air from the collection device to the condensation device is maintained by a turbo pump. The condensation device contains a pre-cooling chamber and a main cooling chamber, both of which are enclosed by a further chamber.
