Damping torsional vibrations in the drive train of a motor vehicle, the friction ring tensioned axially in a clutch disc with a basic friction device and a friction device under load, wherein friction rings are used synthetic material which are mounted with axial tensioning itself and produce the friction force by its material properties and its axial tensioning by friction.
