It is to make a previous selection of hard material granules of natural origin, such as silicas, carbonates and clays; placing the granulate in a uniform layer in a mold of regular geometric shape; the incorporation of a binder resin in intimate admixture with particles of the deposited material; for superior absorbency plates, separately preparing a mixture of granules smaller than the previous and, preferably epoxy resin, and optionally incorporating a dye of the whole mass. The particle size may vary, depending on the applications, between 4 mm. and 88 mm. most between 1 mm. and 4 mm. average and 0.04 mm. and 1.2 mm. the least. Applicable to the mechanized production of plates regular geometric configuration, for the absorption of sound and vibration and fire containment.
