The treatment of theimplant surface with hydrogen peroxide can be supplemented withincorporation of biomolecules, such as peptides, proteins andsteroids, and also other substances such as inorganic ions andcrystals. The compounds to be coupled to the implant surfacemay promote the healing and/or binding of the surroundingtissue.
