The invention concerns a method for the determination ofthe content of a particular haemoglobin derivative in ablood sample. In particular, the invention concerns amethod for the determination of the content ofhaemoglobin derivatives such as glycated haemoglobinwhich require the separate determination of the totalhaemoglobin content and the determination of thehaemoglobin derivative in order to determine theproportion of the derivatized haemoglobin in the bloodas well as a suitable haemolysis reagent for this.
