Disclosed are methods for the enzymaticsynthesis of alpha-sialylated oligosaccharideglycosides: Specifically, in the disclosedmethods, sialyltransferase is activated to transferan analogue of sialic acid, employed as itsCMP-nucleotide derivative, to an oligosaccharideglycoside.
