A micturation detection and training apparatus. Theapparatus comprises an absorbent material enclosing anelectrical sensor for detection of presence of urine, andan electrical circuit connecting said sensor to a batteryand an alerting device. The battery and alerting deviceare external to and spaced apart from the absorbentmaterial. The alerting device is adapted to produce avisual, auditory or vibratory signal when the sensordetects the presence of urine.
