METHOD FOR TOPOLOGY ANALYSIS IN THE VERIFICATION OF NEIGHBOR AND TARGET LISTS IN A CDMA NETWORK

A method for analyzing the topology of a CDMAnetwork with respect to both neighbor and target lists isdisclosed. The method first defines a language thatcreates an input source file for communicating the layoutof the CDMA network. The language expresses thesector-neighbor list relationships of all sectors in the CDMAnetwork. Next, the method parses and builds a directedgraph from the input source file to perform topologyanalysis of the CDMA network. The method then analyzesthe input source file and directed graph for possibleerrors in the network layout that will lead to droppedcalls. The method renders a report to the user aboutthose error conditions and emits a file to be used asinput into the CDMA database.
