A METHOD AND AN APPARATUS FOR UTILISING GLACIER ICE AS DRINKING WATER

The method comprises cutting or drilling the ice from the deposit into unitsof a unit size suitable for immediate packing and for later distribution toand used by end consumers. While the units still are in the form of ice, theyare packed in sealed containers suitable for distribution to and use by endconsumers. The apparatus comprises conveyor line (1, 6). One conveyor line (1)for conveying (3, 4, 5) and a second conveyor line (6) with means forconveying containers (8a, 8b) for packing the ice unit portions.
