The present invention is directed to filamentary means for the delivery ofagents into a living host, and methods for making and using the same. Morespecifically, the present invention provides new and useful fibers and methodsof use of such fibers to implant living cells and other agents into specifictissues, including skin and bone, for the purpose of tissue and organregeneration, site-specific drug release, transdermal drug delivery, and genetherapy.
