The inventive toothbrush (10) is equipped with a teeth-cleaning utensil that is fixed to the handle (12). The utensil is configured as a toothpick (20). This toothpick (20) is moveably guided in the handle (12) in such a way that it can be manually moved into a position ready for use in which it protrudes from the handle (12), or into a position in which it is stowed in the handle (12). A recess for receiving the toothpick (20) is provided in the handle (12), said recess being made up of a bore (15) extending in the longitudinal direction of the handle (12) and a groove (16, 17) leading outwards in the rear area of this bore (15). This results in a very simple and easy to handle design for a toothbrush with a toothpick or similar.
