The method involves using a real-time date generator (1) to produce a real-time date signal (EZD). Future dates (AD) are stored with one of at least three characteristics (KZ) which are manually associated with them. The real-time date signal is compared (15) with the stored future date signals. At least three control functions associated with the characteristics stored with the date coinciding with the real-time date can be triggered and used to control at least one system.
