A system and method for Internet-based translation brokerage services. The method for Internet-based translation brokerage services for buying and selling of translation services over the Internet comprises the steps of receiving translation requests at a client system from clients requesting translation service, the client system being embodied in a client computer system connected to the Internet, and receiving tenders at a provider system from translation service providers, the provider system being embodied in a provider computer system connected to the Internet. The method further comprises the steps of generating a client profile from the translation request, generating provider from the tenders, transmitting the client profile and the provider profiles to a broker system and the broker system being embodied in a broker computer system connected to the Internet.
