Process for the removal of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from groundwater

Removal of ethers (I) and polycyclic hydrocarbons (II) from ground water is by (i) separating off any solids and adsorbing (I) and (II) on a resin; (ii) desorbing (I) and (II) using steam; and (iii) regenerating the adsorption resin with an acid.
