PURPOSE: A drive controlling device of a boost converter for the power factor control is provided to prevent the bad influence by the harmonics by raising the power factor of power circuit, to raise the power efficiency and to improve the system reliability by meeting the international standard. CONSTITUTION: The drive controlling device of a boost converter comprises:a boost converter unit(20) for performing the action to improve the power factor of the voltage outputted from a stopping unit; a power-factor control signal driving unit(30) for outputting the switching signal for controlling the power factor to the boost converter unit(20) by detecting the output voltage and using the power and voltage values thereof; and an auto power breaking unit(40) for breaking the supplied power of the power-factor control signal driving unit(30) by the signal inputted from the excessive current sensing units(17, 21).
