LINEARIZER FOR DIGITAL AGC(AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL) AND DIGITAL AGC USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A linearizer for digital AGC(Automatic Gain Control) is provided which has a high precision linearity in broad area and can be easily integrated. CONSTITUTION: The linearizer for controlling a variable gain control element comprises: a Read Only Memory(101) for outputting two data having a transmission characteristic; selectors(105,106) corresponding to the data; latch circuits(107,108) for latching output data corresponding to the selectors for a short time; an adder(109) for adding up output data of the latch circuit; a half circuit(110) for outputting a half value of the output of the adder; a selector(111) for selectively outputting either the output of the half circuit or the output of the latch circuit(107); and a selector(112) for selectively outputting either the output of the half circuit or the output of the latch circuit(108).
