OVER-CAPACITY OPERATION PREVENTING METHOD FOR MULTI-AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: An over-load operation prevention method is provided to eliminate malfunctioning of the system by making the compressor stop when the capacity of the connected indoor units of a free joint type multi-airconditioner exceeds the normal capacity. CONSTITUTION: The overload operation prevention method comprises; an initializing step(ST10) to initialize the register for the calculation of the number of indoor units connected with the distributor counting step(ST21-ST23) for the indoor units which have received operation signals from a remote control to deliver the operation request signal through a communication line to the outdoor units when the indoor unit transmits an operation request signal in which capacity information is included through a communication line.
