CURVED LINE BASED METHOD FOR NC PROCESSING ROUTE GENERATION OF POLYHEDRAL MODEL

PURPOSE: A curved base method for NC processing route generating of a polyhedral model is provided not to generate a convex interference and to process the polyhedral model without an error when processing 3-shaft NC since accurately having a sharp-turn point on a concave part. CONSTITUTION: The curved base method has the steps of:giving a topological characteristic to the polyhedral model that has an only geometric characteristic; defining the geometric characteristic(convex, concave flat and saddle) of a corner or an apex using the topological relation; correctly expressing a tripod face, a cylindrical trim face and a ring trim face generated from a tripod face and a convex corner or apex; having the sharp-turn point between drive planes at once; and rearranging, trimming and connecting a curve and a segment generated after sliding.
