PURPOSE: A method to decrease scatter loss of iron ore in reducing at the floating type furnace is provided with charging additives. CONSTITUTION: Inside the floating type furnace, iron ore is discharged by reduction gas provided and then the reduction gas is discharged outside. Collect granules from exhaust fumes and discharge the remaining exhaust outside. The separated granules is circulated through the reduction furnace. When charging iron ore with the above furnace, 3-6% of limestone or dolomite with less than 0.15mm diameter as an additive is charged with iron ore.
