DAVIC(DIGITAL AUDIO VISUAL COUNCIL) SYSTEM USING A WEB AND A METHOD FOR ACCESSING THE DAVIC SERVER

PURPOSE: A method for accessing a DAVIC(Digital Audio Visual Council) server is provided, so that a DAVIC(Digital Audio Visual Council) service is supplied to clients through web-browsers, which the clients are currently using. CONSTITUTION: A method for accessing a DAVIC(Digital Audio Visual Council) server comprises a client, the DAVIC server for providing a DAVIC service to the client, and a web-server for providing an internet service to the client. The method comprises the steps of: installing a web-browser to the client, and installing a HTTP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) daemon; contacting with the HTTP daemon by using the web-browser; having a download a DAVIC service menu from the HTTP; mapping the HTTP command for a service to a command of a DSM-CC(Digital Storage Media-Command Control) protocol, when the service is selected from the downloaded DAVIC service menu; setting the DAVIC server and a session according to the command of the DSM-CC protocol, and having an allocation a source.
