TV RECEIVER HAVING RECORDING/REPRODUCING FUNCTIONS AND METHOD OF RECORDING/REPRODUCING TV SIGNALS

PURPOSE: A TV receiver having recording/reproducing functions are provided to composedly reproduce video and audio signals from a hard disk constantly recording the received TV broadcasting signals in accordance with requirement of users. CONSTITUTION: A TV receiver having recording/reproducing functions comprise; a hard disk constantly recording the received TV broadcasting signals; a control means for the hard disk executing in parallel the recording and reproduction in a time-division manner; a stop video displaying means displaying in stopping the video by TV broadcast. When the user desires to see a past scene of the TV broadcasting program, the user specifies a high-speed reverse reproduction. The image is changed from the one of TV broadcasting over to the one reproduced from the hard disk. The user designates the start position of reproduction while viewing the image being reversely reproduced. The forward reproduction starts from the designated start position. When the desired scene ends and the user cancels the forward reproduction, the image is changed from the reproduced image over to the image of the TV broadcasting program.
