TIME DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS(TDMA) COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD INCLUDING DISCONTINOUS MODULATION FOR REDUCING ADJACENT AND CO-CHANNEL INTERFERENCE

PURPOSE: A method for Time Division Multiple Access(TDMA) communication system is provided to reduce the adjacent and identical channel interference in a TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) communication system by discontinuing or shutting off the modulation of an inactive time slot of a transmitted carrier frequency signal. CONSTITUTION: In a TDMA system, an adjacent and identical channel interference are reduced by discontinuing or shutting off the modulation of carrier frequency signals. Also, the time slot and carrier frequency signals are configured so that each carrier frequency signal has the minimum amount of time slots designated as active time slots. Time slots are designated so that identical time slots of each of adjacent carrier frequency slots are currently not designated as active time slot.
