METHOD FOR ABSTRACTING CONTOUR LINE OF STEREO IMAGE USING SENSOR MODEL AND IMAGE MATCHING

PURPOSE: A method for abstracting the contour line of stereo image using sensor model and image matching is provided to abstract a precise contour line than in the stereo image by directly abstracting the contour line without the necessity of taking three-dimensional height model using a sensor model and a stereo matching method. CONSTITUTION: A stereo image photographed in a different angle and location is inputted(S201). A sensor model, a geometric relation between the camera for photographing the stereo image and the surface of the earth, is established(S202). Using the sensor model, a matching is proceeded for an initial point(S203). The location of a new matching point is assumed using the sensor model and the matching result(S204). The matching for the assumed matching point is proceeded(S205). The location assumption(S204) and the matching(S205) is repeated(S206). New stereo point having the same height are abstracted(S207). A contour line is abstracted using the abstracted matching points(S208).
