METHOD FOR SUPPLYING SERVICE DISTINGUISHED ACCORDING TO FEC IN ATM BASED MPLS

PURPOSE: A method for supplying service distinguished according to an FEC(Forwarding Equivalent Class) in an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) based MPLS(Multi Protocol Label Switch) is provided to supply service distinguished according to the forward grade by allotting a label reflecting a service demanding quality. CONSTITUTION: The LSR session and the LDP session of the other party are established for analyzing the FEC-TLV(Type-Length-Value) of received label mapping message. If the FEC type is defined for adding the FEC for data flow, the COS-TLV in the label mapping message is analyzed. A forward information table is detected for deciding if the FEC matching with a new data flow is added already. Herein, if the FEC is already added, the label added to the existed FEC is mapped. If the FEC is not added, the FEC is decided to a new FEC for mapping a new label. Moreover, if the FEC type is appointed as an IP prefix, the FEC is decided as the new FEC for mapping the new label.
