PURPOSE: A method for distributing application and database from server to customer and computer program device using the same are provided to present a server-based handheld application management system. CONSTITUTION: A distribution method of application and database from server to customer comprises steps of: (1) selecting an application and database within an application list by displaying whether the application is to be downloaded or erased; (2) transferring the application list from a user entity to a server; (3) providing the server entity with an access control list in order to update and sustain the relation between the application and the database; and (4) inspecting the application list and the access control list, thereby discriminating whether or not the application is selected and permitted to be used by the user entity.
