PURPOSE: A variable offset slider-rocker fourfold link device and a designing method thereof are provided to prevent defect in operation os a system using a fourfold link device by determining the size of a rocker and a connecting rod on the basis of the maximum transmission angle and the minimum transmission angle between the connecting rod and a slider desired by a designer. CONSTITUTION: A slider ascends while a rocker and a connecting rod is changed from the shape formed of a segment OC2 and a segment C2R2 to the shape formed of a segment OC2 and a segment C2A1. A fourfold link device passes the shape formed of a segment OCm and a segment CmAm. After the completion of forward movement of the slider, the device becomes the shape formed of a segment OC1 and a segment C1A2. By the descent of the slider, the shape of the device is converted to the shape formed of a segment OC1 and a segment C1R1. If the slider starts to return and finishes returning by passing the shape formed of a segment OCm and a segment CmRm, the shape of the device becomes one formed of a segment OC2 and a segment C2R2. Thereby a cycle of the device is completed. The fourfold link device if formed in accurate size adjusted to the size of a device wherein the fourfold link device is installed.
