PURPOSE: A process is provided, which is characterized in that sewage and wastewater of agricultural villages are treated by water hyacinth ponds(WHPs) and waste stabilization ponds(WSPs). CONSTITUTION: Sewage and wastewater flow into previously water hyacinth ponds(p-WHPs)(2), waste stabilization ponds(WSPs)(1), follow-up water hyacinth ponds(f-WHPs)(3) in order. In the previously water hyacinth ponds(p-WHPs)(2), settleable suspended solid is settled, and suspended solid is removed by roots of water hyacinth. In the waste stabilization ponds(WSPs)(1), suspended solid is settled, and soluble phosphate and nitrogen is removed by algae synthesis. In the follow-up water hyacinth ponds(f-WHPs), algae and remained suspended solids are removed by roots of water hyacinth.
