PURPOSE: A method for setting common work field of shared application program during multimedia conference is provided to configure a data channel and to inform participants of resolution information of the screen using the data channel. CONSTITUTION: A method for setting common work field of shared application program during multimedia conference includes first thru third steps. At the first step, a common work field is set by interchanging resolution information among conference participants, and whether a document is shared or not is determined. At the second step, change the screen size according to the size common work field and the size of common work field is supplied to all participants when the document is shared, or whether the document is to be shared is determined when the document is not shared. At the third step, an application program opening the shared document is run and the size of the screen of the application program is set to the size of the work field.
